The Public Health Technician program at New Gate School of Basic Health Science is designed to equip students with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in disease prevention, health promotion, and environmental health. This program focuses on key areas such as epidemiology, sanitation, immunization, maternal and child health, and community health education.
Students will learn to support public health initiatives, conduct fieldwork, manage health records, and assist in implementing government health policies at the local and state levels. The curriculum aligns with national health standards and prepares graduates to work effectively in primary healthcare centres, NGOs, public health agencies, and community-based organizations across Nigeria.
Duration: 3 years
Entry Requirements: Minimum of 5 O’Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, and two other relevant subjects in not more than two sittings.
Certification: Diploma in Public Health Technology (recognized by relevant health regulatory bodies in Nigeria)
The Pharmacy Technician program at New Gate School of Basic Health Science is structured to provide students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to assist pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications. The program emphasizes pharmaceutical calculations, drug classification, pharmacology, inventory control, and patient care.
Students are trained to maintain accurate drug records, provide medication guidance under supervision, and uphold safety standards in pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.
